
Whole grain mustard
Description
Homemade mustard sauce recipe. Grainy mustard can be made from a mixture of light and dark mustard seeds in a 1:1 ratio. If desired, 5% vinegar can be replaced with wine vinegar. Mustard can be used in sauces, salads, for preparing hot dishes, or served with aspic and jellied meat.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making whole grain mustard.

Put the mustard seeds into a bowl, pour in the apple cider vinegar and light beer, and mix.

Cover the bowl and leave at room temperature for 8 hours. During this time, the liquid will be absorbed into the mustard seeds.

Blend the mustard much more, it should become thicker, but most of the seeds should remain whole.

Add salt and sugar to the mustard and mix well. Transfer to a jar, tightly close with a lid, and refrigerate for two days.
