Mustard
Description
Minimal ingredients — excellent result. There are many variations for preparing this sauce. The mustard is especially good when allowed to sit for some time in a warm place, and then chilled in the refrigerator. Instead of water, you can use brine (from cucumbers, tomatoes, or cabbage); in this case, there's no need to add salt, sugar, or vinegar. Serve cooled or at room temperature.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients: powdered mustard, boiling water, salt, sugar, vegetable oil, and 9% table vinegar. I use unrefined vegetable oil to enhance the aroma and flavor.
- 2
Step 2

Sift the mustard into a small bowl, pour in hot water and mix. You can increase the amount of water to your taste. I liked this proportion.
- 3
Step 3

Mix very thoroughly so that there are no lumps of dry mustard. The consistency should be like that of not very thick sour cream.
- 4
Step 4

Add salt and sugar. Mix well.
- 5
Step 5

Add table vinegar and vegetable oil.
- 6
Step 6

Mix the prepared mustard well.
- 7
Step 7

Place in jars, seal. Keep in a warm place for 10-15 minutes, then refrigerate for 2 hours.
- 8
Step 8

The mustard is ready, you can taste it now!
