Cabbage rolls with cottage cheese
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. These cabbage rolls turn out tender, and the unusual filling enhances their amazing flavor. The rice with cottage cheese and herbs pairs perfectly with Savoy cabbage leaves, and the dish can confidently be served even at a festive table. Before you start filling, carefully prepare the leaves: either scald them with boiling water or boil for about 2 minutes—this depends on the "age" of the cabbage. The ready dish can now be served.

Step 1

1. Unusual cabbage rolls with cottage cheese made from Savoy cabbage can be prepared at any time. First, prepare the leaves – scald them with boiling water or let them soak in sour water. Remove all tough parts. Alternatively, you can simply boil the leaves for a few minutes.

2. Prepare the filling separately: mix boiled rice with medium-fat cottage cheese, herbs, salt, and pepper. The mixture should have a uniform consistency.

3. Now wrap the filling in each leaf and place them into a pot or baking dish. If you're going to braise, add a little water and sour cream; for baking, you'll need cheese and a glass baking dish.
