
Cabbage rolls with minced meat and barley
Description
The recipe won't take much time. There's nothing complicated about making cabbage rolls, but it will require some time. You can use any meat you like, but it's best to choose one with minimal fat. I used lean pork. Follow the step-by-step instructions and everything will turn out perfectly. The specified amount of ingredients yields 14–15 cabbage rolls. Serve hot.

Prepare the ingredients for making stuffed cabbage rolls.

Make a small cut at the base of the cabbage head and place it in a pot with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 10–15 minutes. Remove the leaves. Trim off the thickened part of the leaves.

Prepare the stuffing for cabbage rolls. Pass the pork meat and one onion through a meat grinder.

Rinse the barley, place it in a saucepan, and cover with water. Cook the barley until done. Then cool and add to the meat mixture.

Season the minced meat with salt and pepper to taste.

Place a portion of the filling onto each cabbage leaf.
