You can prepare Romanian-style cabbage rolls using any type of minced meat. Beef, pork, or chicken will work. You can even use several kinds of meat at the same time. The dish is hearty, tender, and extremely delicious! It will be perfect for any everyday or festive table.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Dice the onion. Grate the carrot on a grater. Sauté the vegetables in vegetable oil until soft.

In a deep bowl, combine the meat mince, sautéed vegetables, and rinsed rice. Add salt and spices to taste.

Boil the cabbage in salted boiling water. As the outer leaves soften, remove them and transfer to a colander.
