Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Prepare the ingredients, let's get started! Grind the meat into minced meat using a meat grinder or food processor. Rinse the rice, pick over, and boil in salted water until cooked.
- 2
Step 2

2. Peel the onion and carrot, then chop them. Grate the carrot on a coarse grater, and cut the onion into small cubes.
- 3
Step 3

3. Sauté the vegetables in vegetable oil until soft. Remove from heat.
- 4
Step 4

4. Combine rice, minced meat, and fried vegetables. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
- 5
Step 5

5. The filling for cabbage rolls is ready.
- 6
Step 6

6. To easily separate the cabbage head, you need to cut out the core. Carefully peel off the leaves one by one. If it's difficult to remove them from raw cabbage, bring a pot of water to a boil, insert a large fork into the cabbage and dip it into the boiling water for a couple of minutes. The leaves will start separating on their own; just help remove them with another fork.
- 7
Step 7

7. Boil the cabbage leaves for a couple of minutes until tender.
- 8
Step 8

8. Place the leaf in front of you; you can cut off the coarse part with a knife or gently pound it with a mallet (that's exactly what I do). Put a couple of tablespoons of filling onto the leaf.
- 9
Step 9

9. Fold into a triangle. Do the same with the remaining filling and leaves.
- 10
Step 10

10. Place the cabbage rolls tightly into the pot.
- 11
Step 11

11. Prepare a sauce from water, tomato paste, and sour cream by simply combining the ingredients and stirring until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour the sauce over the cabbage rolls. Simmer over low heat for 50–60 minutes.

Step 12

12. Homemade pork cabbage rolls are ready! Serve hot with sour cream!
