Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. This classic Polish-style pork hock recipe has been popular for many, many years. Such a dish is often served in traditional beer halls or even in expensive restaurants, although in fact, Polish-style pork hock is quite simple to prepare at home—give it a try! 1. If needed, thaw the pork hock, rinse it under running water, and pat dry with a towel. 2. In a deep pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pork hock, peeled carrot, onion, and bay leaf. Simmer until the meat becomes tender. 3. While the meat is cooking, prepare the marinade. In a bowl, mix mustard and honey, then dilute with beer. Add salt, spices, and pepper to taste. 4. Once the hocks are cooked, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and pour the marinade over them. 5. You can let them marinate (the longer, the better), or immediately place them in a preheated oven, turning occasionally and basting with the marinade. Ready! Serve this Polish-style pork hock with any side dish, but traditionally it's accompanied by various pickles and beer. The finished dish can now be served at the table.
