8. Gradually pour in the cream in a thin stream, constantly stirring. Reduce the caramel over heat until thickened and reaches a nice color, then immediately remove from heat and transfer to any container.

9. Brush the waffle with cooled caramel and top with a second waffle. Place a weight (such as a plate) on top and let it sit for a couple of hours to soak. Alternatively, you can serve Dutch waffles with caramel at home simply by pouring the caramel over the top.
