Boneless turkey leg
Description
Since turkey is considered a lean meat, you can confidently prepare it even for dinner (that's what we do in my family). I usually stuff the drumsticks with cheese and bacon, but mushrooms would also work great. This time I had cheese and bacon. Don't forget to brush the surface with egg before putting the drumsticks in the oven—this will give the dish even more golden color and shine.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. When I tried this dish, I stopped cooking other parts of the turkey. The only challenge is removing the bone, but that's a 10-minute job.
- 2
Step 2

2. Split the drumsticks and remove the bones using a sharp knife and a kitchen cleaver (if the knife alone is not sufficient).
- 3
Step 3

3. Separately grate the cheese and chop the bacon; this will be our filling. The drumsticks can also be stuffed with just cheese or mushrooms. Even vegetables would be appropriate in this case.

Step 4

4. Combine our filling and place it in the center of the drumstick.

Step 5

5. Then roll up and secure at the bottom with a toothpick. Before putting in the oven, I usually brush the drumsticks with diluted egg.

Step 6

6. Bake the boneless turkey leg for about an hour at 170 degrees. When it develops a golden-brown crust, the leg is ready.
