with fish. An unusual recipe!

Description

The appetizer comes together quickly and easily. Fish nests are the perfect weekend breakfast when you are not rushing anywhere and can treat your family to a tasty snack. These nests are better, tastier, and more filling than any sandwich. You can make these nests with any fish; pink salmon, hake, and pangasius all work well. I had pollock fillet in my freezer and decided to use it—it turned out very tasty and juicy.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Thaw the fish fillets and peel the onions.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Mince the onion as finely as possible. You can also chop it fine using a blender.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Finely chop the pollock fillet. This is easiest when the fish is not fully thawed but not rock-hard either. Mix the fish with onion, salt and pepper, and mix well.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Cut the baguette into 4 cm-wide rounds. Dip each round in warm milk.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

The pulp will soften nicely, making it easy to form indentations. Fill the resulting nests with the fish filling.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

    Sprinkle grated cheese on top.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Bake the nests in the oven at 200 degrees for 25–30 minutes.
