Description
Perfect for the table and for drinks. There are many different dishes with this name, for example, all kinds of salads and pasta main courses. I made “nests” from mashed potatoes; the dish looks very impressive on the table and will even dress up a festive table. It can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Soak the dried porcini mushrooms in water, then boil them, drain, cool, and dice. Boil the potatoes in their skins for 30 minutes in boiling water, then peel and mash them. Add butter, grated Parmesan, salt, ground nutmeg, and an egg to the mash.
- 2
Step 2

Mix everything thoroughly.
- 3
Step 3

Line the baking sheet with parchment paper, or you can use a silicone mat. Put the mashed potatoes in a piping bag fitted with a star tip and, starting from the center and moving in a spiral, form "nests."

Step 4

Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for 20 minutes until golden.
- 5
Step 5

Prepare the filling: in a skillet in olive oil, sauté a clove of garlic, add the mushrooms, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Then add the bacon, cut into cubes, and cook everything together for another 5 minutes; then remove the garlic and add salt.

Step 7

Fill the ready hot potato nests with the filling and serve, sprinkled with chopped walnuts.
