Nests with minced meat in the oven

60 min4 serv.20 февр. 2026 г.

Description

The recipe won't take much time. The "nests" are thin strips of egg noodle dough, curled into a nest-like shape. Usually, these are tagliatelle, less often spaghetti. Prepared this way, the pasta looks very original and appetizing on a plate, making it suitable even for festive occasions. The dish turns out delicious, tender, and juicy. You can use any kind of minced meat; today I'm using a mixed one. The sauce can also vary—you can use a creamy, sour cream-based, or tomato sauce for pouring. Serve hot.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

    Prepare all the ingredients.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Place the pasta into boiling salted water (the water should be no more than 2-3 cm above the pasta) and cook for 1.5–2 minutes. This will be enough time for the noodles to soften and become pliable for stuffing. Remove the "nests" from the water with a slotted spoon and transfer them onto a plate.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Add the onion, cut into small cubes, to the minced meat, along with an egg, salt, and spices to taste. Mix thoroughly.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Dice the remaining onion and grate the carrot. Sauté the vegetables in vegetable oil until soft.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Add tomato paste and sour cream to the vegetables. Simmer everything together for a few more minutes.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Gradually pour in the hot water (you can use the water left over from cooking the pasta), add salt and ground pepper to taste, bring to a boil, then remove the sauce from the heat.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Transfer the "nests" to a baking dish.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Slightly spread the center and fill them with stuffing.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Pour the tomato-sour cream sauce over the pasta with the minced meat.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Place a dollop of mayonnaise on each "nest" and sprinkle with grated cheese. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the oven at 180°C for about 40–45 minutes. A few minutes before it's done, remove the foil so the cheese on top can brown.

    Step 11

    Step 11

The meat-filled nests are ready in the oven.
