Description

This recipe won't take much time. If you've decided to make this delicious dish, I can assure you—your efforts in the kitchen won't go unnoticed. In my case, these nests disappeared from the plates in no time. So, I'm happy to share with you the recipe for making meat nests: 1. First, soak the bread slices in milk and set aside for now. If needed, take the ground meat out to defrost. 2. Finely chop the onion and divide it into two equal parts. Grate the cheese and slice the mushrooms into thin strips. 3. Now prepare the meat mixture by adding an egg, the softened bread together with the leftover milk, and one portion of the chopped onion to the ground meat. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. 4. Set the meat mixture aside for now and prepare the mushroom filling. Heat some vegetable oil in a pan, sauté the second portion of onion until translucent, then add the sliced mushrooms. Cook over medium heat for 5–10 minutes until done. Season with salt, pepper, and spices to taste. 5. Prepare a baking tray by lightly greasing it to prevent the nests from sticking. Take a handful of the meat mixture (about the size of a small patty), shape it into a ball, and press a hole into the center to form a "nest." 6. Fill each "nest" with the mushroom mixture, sprinkle generously with grated cheese, and place in a preheated oven for 40 minutes. Once done, simply remove from the oven, garnish with tomato slices, and serve! I hope you enjoy this easy recipe. Serve hot.
