Cookie glaze at home
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. To give the simple cookies a rich flavor, you can also add finely grated orange or tangerine zest to the glaze. However, in this case, it's important that the zest is dried. Grated zest can be warmed on a skillet or baking sheet without oil to dry it out. You can pour the glaze over the cookies using a regular spoon, or use a piping bag to create decorative patterns on the cookies. The finished dessert can be served at the table.

Step 1

Since the glaze is prepared very quickly, first prepare all the necessary ingredients and tools. Take a bowl that is convenient for mixing ingredients, a whisk, and a tablespoon. Pour clean water into a small container.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix the cocoa and powdered sugar. If necessary, sift these dry ingredients to remove any unwanted lumps. Then add the starch and thoroughly mix all the ingredients together.

Step 3

Now it's time to add liquid to the future icing and achieve the desired consistency. Add three tablespoons of water to the bowl and gently mix the mixture with a whisk. Stir the icing until the powdered sugar and starch have dissolved. If you see that the mixture is too thick, add a little more water.

Step 4

Before pouring the resulting glaze over the cookies, you need to cool it down. Place the bowl with glaze in the refrigerator for just 3 minutes. Do not keep it in the cold longer, so it doesn't set. Now everything is ready—you can decorate the finished cookies with our chocolate glaze.
