Prepare the ingredients.

Break the chocolate and transfer it to a bowl or saucepan set over a double boiler. The water must not touch the bottom. Also make sure steam does not get into the mixture, or you will spoil the texture of the chocolate glaze. Begin melting the chocolate, gradually adding melted butter to it.
