Orange glaze for Easter bread
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. This glaze turns out very interesting, with a slight tang. To give it a rich orange color, you can use food coloring (this way you'll have not only the taste but also the color of orange). To prepare the glaze, you'll need: sugar or powdered sugar, an orange, water, and citric acid. Start cooking. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
In a bowl, add sugar (it's better to use powdered sugar, as it will dissolve faster) and a pinch of citric acid.
- 2
Step 2
Wash the orange, cut it in half, and squeeze the juice from each half (you can do this by hand or using a juicer).
- 3
Step 3
Add three teaspoons of orange juice to the bowl with powdered sugar.
- 4
Step 4
Add cold water to the bowl and thoroughly mix the entire mixture.
- 5
Step 5
Take a mixer or whisk and beat the thick mixture until there are no lumps.
- 6
Step 6
Store the ready glaze in a clean, dry jar or use it immediately. If the glaze seems not thick enough, dry it slightly in a microwave or oven.
