Description
Have you ever heard of ghehlidzhab? It's a hot dish from Kabardino-Balkar cuisine that must include three main ingredients: chicken, sour cream, and onion. The rest are optional. You can braise this dish in a cauldron or a deep pot, but I prepared it in a multicooker. For you, I've described it below.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rinse the chicken and pat it dry. Cook it in "Sauté" mode for 20 minutes with 30 ml of oil, stirring occasionally.
- 2
Step 2

Remove the chicken from the multicooker bowl. Pour the remaining oil into the bowl and add the onion cut into random pieces. Set the "Frying" mode for 10-15 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Blend the cooked onion into a puree using a blender.
- 4
Step 4

Add turmeric, salt, flour, and pepper to the resulting puree. Mix the ingredients until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
- 5
Step 5

Then add the sour cream. Mix once again.
- 6
Step 6

Place the puree, chicken, and coarsely sliced mushrooms into the multicooker bowl.
- 7
Step 7

Cook the dish in "Stewing" mode for 20 minutes. Add herbs to the ready ghelibzhe.
