Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients and warm the milk to 40 degrees. Let's begin!
- 2
Step 2

Sift the flour into a deep container.
- 3
Step 3

Dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Pour into the flour, add the egg, sugar, and salt.
- 4
Step 4

Start kneading the dough.
- 5
Step 5

Knead the dough until you feel a firm, elastic ball under your hands. Cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest in a warm place for 2 hours.
- 6
Step 6

Now make the topping for the gamburgers. To do this, grind white bread crumbs in a blender until they turn into fine crumbs. Fry the crumbs in a pan with sugar and butter.
- 7
Step 7

The result is a sweet, tasty, and slightly crunchy mixture.
- 8
Step 8

After two hours in a warm place, the dough rises well and increases in volume.
- 9
Step 9

Divide the dough into 14–16 portions, shaping each into a ball. Flatten each ball—this is easiest to do by hand—then add the berry filling and a little sugar.
- 10
Step 10

Seal the edge very well. Brush the bottom of the bun with melted butter.
- 11
Step 11

Place the buns on the steamer rack, leaving space between them. Close the lid, but do not turn on the steamer—let the buns rest for about 10–15 minutes. Then, set the timer for 20 minutes of steaming.
- 12
Step 12

Remove the finished buns one by one from the steamer rack, generously brush with melted butter, and coat with fried breadcrumbs.
- 13
Step 13

That's what gambovtsy look like! They can be eaten after 15-20 minutes.
