
Dumplings with liver
Description
There are many recipes for making halushki, with various additions to the dough or fillings. Today I suggest preparing halushki with liver. It's a very tasty and budget-friendly dish that perfectly satisfies hunger. Definitely worth trying! You can use any type of liver; I'm using chicken liver. If you choose another type, you may need to increase the cooking time.

Prepare all the ingredients.

In a deep bowl, whisk the egg with milk and salt.

Add the flour in parts.

Knead a soft and elastic dough that does not stick to your hands.

Roll the dough into a sausage and cut it into small pieces.

Boil the dumplings in salted boiling water for 10-15 minutes (until cooked), then drain in a colander to remove excess water.

Heat oil in a skillet. Add grated carrot (on a coarse grater) and diced onion.

Fry the vegetables until cooked, then add the liver cut into pieces. Fry everything together, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes.

When the liver is ready, add the dumplings, salt, and pepper to taste.
