Chicken Dumplings
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Want to make a delicious and unusual lunch? I suggest you try this very simple recipe for chicken with dumplings. There are no special difficulties in cooking, and the dish turns out to be very filling and tasty. And most importantly—it's practically two dishes in one. Let's not waste time and get started. 1. Any chicken meat will work for this dish. Wash the meat and cut it into pieces. 2. It's best to cook this dish in a frying pan with high sides. Heat the pan with vegetable oil and sauté the chicken pieces. 3. Pour in water to cover the meat, add salt and pepper. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. 4. Prepare the dumpling dough. Beat the egg with salt and one cup of water. 5. Grate the cheese finely and add it to the egg mixture. Stir well. 6. Gradually add flour and knead the dough. It should be quite soft and slightly sticky to the hands. Dust the dough with flour, cover, and let it rest on the counter for about 10 minutes. 7. Place a pot of water on the stove for boiling the dumplings. Lightly salt the water and bring to a boil. 8. Cut off a portion of the dough and roll it into a sausage about 2–3 cm in diameter. Cut into small pieces and cook in boiling water for about 5 minutes. 9. Remove the cooked dumplings and place them on a plate. Lightly drizzle with vegetable or butter. 10. Add tomato paste to the pan with the chicken, bring to a boil, then add the dumplings. Cover with a lid and simmer together for about 5 minutes. That's it—really simple, isn't it? The dish is ready to serve.
