1. Pour corn flour into a deep bowl and gradually add warm (almost hot) water in small portions.

2. The classic cornmeal dumpling recipe does not require salt, but you can add a pinch if desired. Knead a firm dough that is easy to shape.

3. To check the dough's density and proper consistency, you can shape a small tower from it. If it holds firmly, the amount of water is sufficient. This method also makes it easier to form the dumplings.

4. Gradually pinch off pieces of dough and shape them into small sausages.
