Dumplings for soup

Description

Cooked dumplings can be stored for multiple uses. To do this, place them on a small cutting board and freeze in the freezer for 20 minutes. Then transfer them into a plastic bag, return to the freezer, and use as needed. Before using, thaw them completely and lightly dust with flour to prevent them from falling apart during cooking.

    Sift the flour into a bowl. Add one egg and a pinch of fine salt to the flour. Knead the dough well to completely eliminate any lumps of flour. First, knead the dough with a fork, then with your hands.

    Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and add it to the dough. Continue kneading by hand until smooth. Then dust the work surface with flour and roll the dough into a log about 3-4 centimeters in diameter.

    If you have time, you can put the sausage in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then cut this sausage into equal pieces about three centimeters thick. Lightly dust the resulting dumplings with flour.

    Place the dumplings on a surface and make a small indentation in each with your finger. Now the dumplings can be added to the soup. Some people prefer to lightly fry them in vegetable oil before adding to the soup.
