
Frittata
Description
Frittata is an Italian omelet with cheese, meat, and vegetables, baked in the oven. Usually, frittata is first cooked on the stovetop in a frying pan, and once the bottom layer is done, the pan is placed in the oven. There is a special pan with two handles designed specifically for making frittata.

Step 1

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Grease a baking dish or deep plate with a small amount of oil or spray with cooking oil. Sear the beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In another skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté chopped onion with a pinch of salt and pepper until the onion becomes translucent.

2. Whisk together eggs, milk, 1/2 of the shredded Cheddar cheese, and 1/4 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

3. Evenly place the beef on the bottom of the baking dish and sprinkle fried onions on top. Add additional filling of choice, if desired.

4. Pour the egg mixture on top.

5. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

6. Bake the frittata in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.

7. Cut the frittata into pieces and serve in the morning for breakfast, or with soup or salad for lunch and dinner.
