
Chicken fricassee
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Fricassee can be made from rabbit, beef, or poultry. Serve the dish hot with a side of potatoes, boiled rice, or another grain. You can prepare the dish in advance and reheat it, or cook it right before dinner or a celebration. The finished dish can be served at the table.

Wash the chicken pieces and season them with salt and pepper. Heat butter in a skillet and place the chicken in it, frying for about two minutes on each side.

Peel the onion and chop it coarsely, add it to the pan and cook for about a minute, then add the finely chopped garlic.

Fry the contents of the pan for 5 minutes, constantly stirring the pieces of chicken.

Add flour, bay leaf, and thyme to the skillet, pour in vermouth and chicken broth, cover with a lid, and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes.

Wash and slice the carrots and leek into thin strips. Pour water into a saucepan and add the carrots; cook for 1 minute, then cook the leek for 4 minutes.
