Description

The recipe won't take much time. If you add a bit of cream to the meat, it will turn out even more tender and delicious. I chose potatoes as a side dish, but rice, buckwheat, or spaghetti would also work well. During cooking, I also added some bacon, which gave the meat a special touch. Serve hot.

    1. Take the drumsticks, season and salt them. Place them in a baking dish previously greased with oil. On top, place thickly sliced bacon. Then, squeeze garlic over the surface and spread it evenly. Finally, add sliced mushrooms, rosemary, bay leaf, and thyme.

    2. As soon as the fat melts and everything settles to the bottom, pour in a little broth or water. Look how delicious the chicken legs already look, but that's not all yet. Place the potatoes into the rendered fat, arranging them between the chicken pieces, and put into the oven until the potatoes are fully cooked.

    3. Meanwhile, chop the parsley. Sprinkle it over the dish 5 minutes before it's done and right before serving.

    4. If you wish, while the chicken legs were in the oven, you could have boiled potatoes to fry them in lard until golden brown and then add them to the legs. I took a different approach—I cooked the chicken together with the potatoes. Don't forget to sprinkle the dish with rosemary when serving.
