Meatballs in sauce baked in the oven
Description
Besides chicken, you can use any other meat, but I prefer chicken the most. I use chicken breasts instead of fillet. Chicken pairs well with any sauce, for example, milk-based or tomato sauce. I serve these meatballs hot with a vegetable side dish, and for children, I prepare soft mashed potatoes.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Wash the chicken breast thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels, removing any cartilage.
- 2
Step 2

2. Wrap the meat in plastic wrap or a plastic bag and pound it on both sides.
- 3
Step 3

3. I chop the pounded meat with a knife—I prefer the minced meat to be in pieces, but it's a matter of taste. You can also mince the meat using a meat grinder.
- 4
Step 4

4. Wash and dry the green onion, then finely chop it.
- 5
Step 5

5. I crack an egg into a bowl and beat until a fluffy foam forms.
- 6
Step 6

6. I transfer the finely chopped meat, green onion, egg, salt to taste, and spices into a bowl and mix well.
- 7
Step 7

7. Grease the baking dish with cream. Take a small amount of the mixture from the total mass and shape it into meatballs, placing a small piece of butter inside each one.
- 8
Step 8

8. Place all the meatballs into the prepared baking dish and put in the oven for 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
- 9
Step 9

9. Grate the cheese, add finely chopped garlic and dried herbs, season with salt, pour in the cream, and mix.
- 10
Step 10

10. 15 minutes after starting to bake, I remove the meatballs and pour the prepared sauce over them, then bake for another 15 minutes.
- 11
Step 11

11. A couple of minutes before the end of cooking, I turn on the grill and brown the crust.
- 12
Step 12

12. Serve the dish hot with fresh vegetables.
