Meatballs from minced meat with sauce
Description
The perfect pairing for a home dinner would be meatballs with pasta or simple mashed potatoes. You'll save time since there will be no need to prepare a separate sauce for the side dish. For a festive table, you can make the dish more sophisticated by replacing the sauce with a more complex one (such as béchamel or sour cream and cheese sauce). Garnish the dish with finely chopped herbs or grated cheese.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Mix all the meatball ingredients: ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg white, and add ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, dried onion, and Worcestershire sauce. Thoroughly combine everything and form balls approximately 2.5 cm in diameter.
- 2
Step 2
Heat a pan with olive oil over high heat and add the meatballs. Sear them on all sides until golden brown.

Step 3
Next, prepare the sauce in the same skillet (set the meatballs aside for now). Melt the butter and sauté the onion in it until translucent. In a separate container, mix the cornstarch with the beef broth, then pour everything into the skillet. Simmer the ingredients for 5 minutes, until a thick sauce forms.

Step 4
Now mix the meatballs with the sauce and simmer the dish for 25-30 minutes, until fully cooked.
