French pie
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. If you want to truly impress your guests, I recommend preparing a French quiche with bacon and cheese. I begged for this amazing recipe at a restaurant while traveling through Europe. After trying this quiche just once, you won't be able to stop making it. It can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Mix the flour with butter, egg, salt, and "Philadelphia" cheese. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and uniform.
- 2
Step 2

2. First, I mix everything with a fork, and only then use a food processor (a mixer can be used instead). The butter is not grated as for puff pastry, but gradually mashed.
- 3
Step 3

3. After kneading the dough, put it in the refrigerator while we prepare the filling.
- 4
Step 4

4. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry it in a skillet. In the middle of frying, add the chopped leek and cook until everything is done (until golden brown).
- 5
Step 5

5. When the filling is ready, take out the dough and roll it out on the table. Take a baking pan (preferably with low sides), place the rolled-out dough into the pan, evenly distributing it over the entire surface and slightly raising the edges.
- 6
Step 6

6. Place our filling, then sprinkle grated cheese on top.
- 7
Step 7

7. Whip the cream with one egg, pour the pie filling with the resulting egg-cream mixture. Now place the pie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

8. After baking, let the pie cool slightly, then remove it from the mold.
- 9
Step 9

9. Slice and serve.
