Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. If you haven't tried this appetizer, I recommend not putting off making it. It turns out piquant and at the same time delicate. It can be prepared both for a festive table and for an everyday breakfast or lunch. It's important to note that for preparation it's best to use sour apples such as Antonovka.

Step 1
Wash the herring, remove the bones and skin. Pinch off 4 stalks of green onion and chop them finely; cut the onion into large pieces.

Peel and core one apple; core the other apple only.

Pass the apples, herring, and onion through a meat grinder. Run the resulting mixture through the meat grinder once more.

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Rub the yolks with vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper, then add green onions. Mix everything with the ground fish.
