Trout grilled in a lemon-garlic marinade
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. It's better to grill trout on a barbecue with the head on, as it turns out juicier. I usually don't use any spices except black pepper, but you can add your favorite seasonings. This is a perfect dish for an outdoor outing. Serve the finished dish at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

1. The trout needs to be cleaned; remove its gills and internal organs.
- 2
Step 2

2. Make a cut along the fish's backbone, then use a spoon to remove the blood. Wash the fish and dry it thoroughly with a paper towel.

Step 3

3. Rub salt on the inside and outside, then with ground black pepper.

Step 4

4. Slice the onion into thin half-rings, mince the garlic or crush it. Put half of the garlic and the sliced onion into a container (I used a large plastic bag when outdoors) where the fish will be marinated, and add a cup of sunflower oil. Place the other half of the garlic into the bag, add salt, and 2 tablespoons of oil. Squeeze half a lemon's juice into each container.

Step 5

5. Thoroughly rub the fish with the marinade and onion, then let it marinate in a bag with the marinade for at least half an hour.

Step 6

6. Grease the grill with oil, place the fish on it, and put it on the barbecue. Turn every 2 minutes, basting with the garlic marinade. On average, the trout takes about 20 minutes to cook.
