Description

Baking is prepared simply and quickly. If you haven't yet tried making Italian bread focaccia, start with this recipe. It has the right proportions and an excellent result, and it's very easy if you follow the step‑by‑step instructions. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.

    Prepare the ingredients.

    In cold water dissolve the yeast, add salt, 1 tbsp olive oil.

    Add sifted flour.

    Knead the dough by hand, knead for at least 10 minutes, roll it into a ball, cover with a bowl for 40 minutes.

    Dust the baking sheet with semolina or cornmeal.

    Place the dough, previously rolled out into a sheet, onto a baking sheet. Make indentations with your fingers, drizzle with olive oil, lay basil leaves, press cherry tomato halves or cheese pieces directly into them, and place rosemary leaves.

    Cover the flatbread with a damp cloth moistened in warm water, and let it ferment for 45 minutes.

    Before baking, sprinkle a little salt on top. Bake for 20–25 minutes at 200 °C. Before serving, drizzle with olive oil again.
