Grilled flank steak with sauce
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Slice the steak right before serving, always cutting across the grain into thin strips. This way, the meat will be easy to dip into the sauce. The sauce must be boiled for a sufficiently long time to eliminate any risk of bacteria from the marinade. Moreover, during boiling, the sauce will reduce and slightly thicken. Be sure to prepare this treat for your man! With this dish, you'll definitely win his heart. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Combine all the marinade ingredients in a glass or ceramic dish. Marinate in the resulting mixture for several hours, or preferably overnight.
- 2
Step 2

2. Wait until the grill is heated, otherwise if you put the meat on a cold pan, it will stick and won't look very presentable. To check whether the grill is hot enough, drop a bit of water on it. If the water sizzles, place the steak on the grill.

Step 3

3. Sear the steak without touching it for 1.5–2 minutes. Then rotate the meat 45 degrees and continue searing for another minute on the same side. This will create a beautiful, appetizing grill pattern that's so closely associated with the word "grill."

Step 4

4. Using the same technique, sear the steak on the other side as well.
- 5
Step 5

5. When your steak is cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for a few minutes before slicing.
- 6
Step 6

6. While the steak is resting, let's prepare the sauce. Strain the marinade through a fine sieve to remove pieces of pepper, ginger, and garlic.
- 7
Step 7

7. Add half a cup of clean drinking water to the marinade and place over heat.
- 8
Step 8

8. When the marinade comes to a boil, reduce the heat and continue simmering the sauce for 10-15 minutes.
