Pike-perch fillet in the oven
Description
Pike-perch is a river fish, so even its fillet may contain quite a few bones. To prepare pike-perch fillet in the oven, be sure to remove all the bones if possible. Pike-perch meat is not only tasty but also dietary: it contains little fat, yet the fish is nutritious. To prevent it from becoming dry in the oven, I recommend cooking it with cream.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rinse the pike-perch fillet, cut into portion pieces, season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with spices. Let the fish absorb the flavors while we prepare the vegetables and sauce.
- 2
Step 2

Slice the onion into thin half-rings, slice the mushrooms, and cut the pepper into pieces or cubes. Finely chop the fresh herbs.
- 3
Step 3

Sauté mushrooms and onions in a heated pan, season with salt and pepper to taste. Add your favorite spices.
- 4
Step 4

Then add pepper and herbs, finely chopped garlic (you can press it through a garlic press), mix and cook for a couple of minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Then pour in the cream, mix gently. Cook for a couple of minutes; the cream should not boil, just warm through.
- 6
Step 6

Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil and place the fish in it evenly.
- 7
Step 7

Evenly pour the vegetable cream sauce over the top. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- 8
Step 8

Sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Place the dish with the ingredients in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Do not overbake, so that the cheese crust does not burn. Let the dish cool slightly before serving. While the pike-perch is baking, you can prepare a side dish: potatoes or vegetables.
