Turkey fillet in a pan
Description
Turkey fillet in a pan is my favorite recipe. I often cook this dish because I watch my diet and try to eat as little fatty and unhealthy food as possible. Although this dish can't be called strictly diet, it doesn't harm your figure too much (you just need to know the right portion). :) I always serve pan-fried turkey fillet with mashed potatoes and peas, prepared according to my own recipe. I hope you know how to make simple mashed potatoes even without me, but below you'll find the steps for how I cook turkey breast and peas. Good luck!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rinse the whole chicken breast under running water, dry with a paper towel, and rub with salt, pepper, and spices. Let it sit for a while. Meanwhile, we can peel the potatoes for the mashed potatoes later.
- 2
Step 2

Then pour oil into a heavy skillet and place over medium heat. Add the chicken breast and sear on both sides for about 7–10 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

The turkey should brown nicely.
- 4
Step 4

Then pour the broth over the turkey, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 20 minutes, covered. About one-third of the broth should evaporate.
- 5
Step 5

Then place the chicken breast onto a plate.
- 6
Step 6

Add 1 tablespoon of flour to the remaining broth and dissolve it. Then turn off the heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Season slightly with salt and pepper.
- 7
Step 7

Cut the chicken breast into portion-sized pieces.
- 8
Step 8

Boil the peas in a separate pot for 10 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Transfer the cooked peas to a separate plate, add 1 tablespoon of flour and butter, and mix well.
- 10
Step 10

Add cream or sour cream to our broth and mix.
- 11
Step 11

Add the peas to the broth and stir in a spoonful of grated cheese, mixing everything well again.
- 12
Step 12

Place the mashed potatoes, turkey, and peas on a plate and serve.
