Stuffed goose in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. As you can see, the classic oven-stuffed goose is probably called classic for a reason—there's nothing extra, just strict simplicity, and even spices aren't recommended. By the way, if you'd like to simplify the recipe even further, I should mention that I personally liked the version with apples but without potatoes even more. So it's up to you—buy a bigger bird and start cooking, since now you know. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Prepare the ingredients. Wash the potatoes and apples thoroughly, and thaw the goose, removing the innards (if necessary).

Step 2

2. Generously rub the goose inside and out with salt and pepper.

Step 3

3. Wash, peel, and finely chop the potatoes. Boil in salted water.

Step 4

4. While the potatoes are boiling, peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. When the potatoes are cooked, mix the apples with the potatoes.

Step 5

5. Now stuff the goose with a mixture of potatoes and apples in equal parts. You can add a little salt, pepper, and spices if desired.

Step 6

6. Sew the edges together and bake in a preheated oven for 2 hours, periodically basting the top with the released juice.

Step 7

7. Remove the strings from the cooked goose, garnish attractively—and it's ready to serve!
