Stuffed tomatoes
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Recipe: the finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. This time, I used store-bought pork and beef mince.
- 2
Step 2

Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and remove the pulp to create cup-like shells. Do not discard the pulp yet, as we will need it. Sprinkle a pinch of sugar into each tomato cup.
- 3
Step 3

Finely chop the onion with a knife. You can press the garlic or also finely chop it.
- 4
Step 4

In vegetable oil, first sauté the onion and garlic until soft, then add the minced meat and cook for several minutes, stirring frequently.
- 5
Step 5

Then add rice (uncooked), tomato paste, and tomato pulp to the pan, and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- 6
Step 6

Cook, stirring occasionally, until a crumbly mixture forms, for 15-20 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Mix the prepared meat filling with finely chopped herbs (dill, parsley, mint). Use this mixture to stuff the tomatoes. Place the tomatoes in a baking dish and cover them with their tops, which were cut off earlier. Pour 3 tablespoons of water into the dish and bake in the oven for 35 minutes at 180 degrees.

The stuffed tomatoes are ready. Serve hot and enjoy your meal!
