Stuffed peppers steamed
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Steamed dishes can be considered dietary, as their preparation requires not a drop of fat, and any excess fat from the ingredients drains into the tray. Moreover, there are no harmful burnt crusts. To keep the dish from being bland and boring, you can always prepare an interesting sauce and serve it separately. The finished dish can now be served at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the rice and pour boiling water over it. Let it cool, drain in a colander, and slightly dry.
- 2
Step 2

Clean the peppers inside by cutting off the tops, rinse and dry.
- 3
Step 3

Blend a small onion with zucchini and a tomato in a blender.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the ground meat with rice, chopped vegetables, and herbs. Fresh herbs are preferable—chop them finely. However, if fresh ones are not available, dried herbs will work just as well. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper to taste, and knead thoroughly.

Step 5

Fill the prepared peppers with the stuffing.
- 6
Step 6

Place the peppers on the steamer rack and steam for 35 minutes.

Step 7

For the sauce, mix thick yogurt with pesto sauce, season with salt to taste, and stir well. It will also taste delicious if you mix the yogurt with curry, adding garlic, a pinch of powdered sugar, lemon juice, and salt to taste.

Step 8

Serve the peppers hot, drizzled with sauce.
