Stuffed Crab Sticks

10 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

Suitable for both holidays and everyday meals. Buy good-quality crab sticks so they taste great. Prepare the stuffing from boiled chicken eggs and herbs; optionally you can add minced fish in oil, fish pâtés, liver pâtés, etc., but not diced into small cubes, or you won’t be able to roll the sticks back up. Serve with herbs and sauce.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Boil the chicken eggs in advance for 15 minutes and cool them in ice water.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Bring water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan. Remove the crab sticks from their clear packaging and place them in a tight, deep container. Pour boiling water over them. Use boiling water, not warm or cold water! Leave for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

At this time, peel the boiled chicken eggs, rinse them, and grate them on a fine-hole grater into a deep bowl. Rinse and finely chop the green onions into the same bowl.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Add salt and ground black pepper, and add mayonnaise of any fat content. Gently mix everything together. Do not replace mayonnaise with sour cream, but you can add flaked tuna in oil or another fish.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

By this point, you will see that the crab sticks have already opened up on their own in the water. If you skip this step and don't pour boiling water over them, you won't be able to unfold them—they will tear and you'll ruin the product.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Unroll each crab stick and spread it with the prepared filling, but not all the way to the end, as the filling will shift slightly toward the edge of the stick when rolling.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Wrap the crab stick the same way, stuff the remaining sticks, and arrange them on a plate.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Then transfer the appetizer onto lettuce leaves arranged on a serving dish or plate. Cool the appetizer and serve it cold.
