Description
This recipe won't take much time. Don't feel like frying cutlets, but there's ground meat waiting in the fridge? Try making "French-style" ground meat, and I'm sure you'll come back to this simple recipe again and again. Although this dish is attributed to the French, I believe it was actually invented in Russia. After all, combining potatoes with meat is so typically Russian :) With this recipe for French-style ground meat, you can prepare a dish that's perfectly suitable even for a holiday table. Here's the simple recipe: 1. Peel the onion and potatoes. 2. Dice the onion into small cubes and slice the potatoes into thin rings. 3. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and arrange the potato rings inside, lightly salting them. 4. Mix the ground meat with the onion, then season with salt and pepper. 5. Spread the meat mixture over the potatoes. 6. Clean the mushrooms and slice them into pieces. Place them on top of the meat. 7. Spread mayonnaise over the surface of this "layered dish" and sprinkle with grated cheese. 8. Place in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 30 minutes. Check for doneness by testing the potatoes. That's it! Serve hot.
