Description

This recipe won't take much time. Making minced meat steamed at home is easy, even if you don't have a steamer—it's one of the simplest steamed dishes, loved by both adults and children. For a diet-friendly meal, lean meats and poultry are ideal, so we'll use chicken, although you can prepare other types of minced meat this way as well. 1. Pass chicken fillet through a meat grinder twice (or, if you have a blender, process at high speed). 2. Grind onion together with the chicken. Season the minced meat with salt, add chopped herbs and milk. 3. Knead the mixture thoroughly and beat it well to remove as much oxygen as possible. 4. Place a small pot with water on the stove. 5. Lightly grease a colander or metal sieve and spread the minced meat evenly across the bottom. 6. Set the colander on top of the pot. 7. Cover the colander with a tightly fitting lid. When the water begins to boil (you'll hear distinct bubbling sounds), reduce the heat to low, maintaining a steady, gentle boil. 8. After 20 minutes, when the kitchen is filled with delicious aromas, turn off the heat. 9. Wait another 5–10 minutes, then remove the colander, lift the lid, and check that the minced meat is fully cooked. 10. Remove it with a spatula or a convenient spoon and distribute onto plates. 11. If your health allows, serve with your favorite sauce. Otherwise, low-fat sour cream is a good choice. Almost any side dish will work—just make sure it's as diet-friendly as the main dish. That's it—now you know how to prepare it. Serve hot.
