Description

The recipe won't take much time. Far Breton is a traditional French cake with prunes or raisins. Far Breton resembles clafoutis in its preparation. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.

    1. Place eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and melted butter in a blender or food processor, blend for 1 minute. Add flour and pulse a few times to combine. Pour the batter into a bowl, cover with a lid, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight. Meanwhile, pour hot tea over raisins and prunes. When the tea cools to room temperature, cover with a lid. If using Armagnac, place the fruits and water in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until almost all the water evaporates, then turn off the heat and add the Armagnac. Ignite the alcohol and wait until the flame goes out. Cover with a lid and set aside.

    2. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees with the rack in the center. Grease a round pie pan, line the bottom with parchment or wax paper, grease the paper, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess. Place the pan on a baking sheet. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and beat it. Pour the batter into the pan, then arrange the prunes and raisins on top, trying to distribute them evenly.
