
Jewish tsimmes
Description
You can change or supplement the dried fruit mix as desired. It's best to use fresh carrots, as they are sweeter and juicier. If you don't like cinnamon, omit it and use honey with a stronger aroma instead. Cimes can be served for breakfast or as a snack.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making Jewish tsimmes.

Place the apricots, prunes, and raisins into a bowl. Pour boiling water over the dried fruits and let them soak for 15 minutes. Drain the water, rinse the fruits with warm water, and let them drain.

Peel the carrots and slice them into rounds. Pour oil into a frying pan, heat over medium heat, then add the carrots.

Sauté the carrots for 5 minutes, stirring. Add honey to the carrots, mix and cook for another 3 minutes. The honey should become sticky.

Add the dried fruits to the pan, pour in the water, and simmer until the carrots are tender.

Sprinkle the tzimmes with cinnamon, mix and serve.
