Ekmek
Description
Suitable for both special occasions and everyday meals. Today I'm sharing a recipe with you. It can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Mix the flour, salt, sugar, and dry yeast, add water and vegetable oil. Knead a soft dough and leave it in a warm place for 30 minutes. For proofing the dough, I use a multicooker (Multi-Cook mode, 35 degrees, 30 minutes).

Step 3

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Peel and cut the onion and bell pepper into small pieces, pour boiling water over the tomatoes for a few minutes, and remove the skins. Cut the tomatoes into small wedges and transfer them to the blender bowl along with the other vegetables.
- 4
Step 4

Puree the vegetables.
- 5
Step 5

Mix the minced meat with the chopped vegetables, add salt, pepper, and paprika, and mix the mixture thoroughly.
- 6
Step 6

The dough has risen; knead it once more and roll it out thin. Roll it out to fit your baking sheet, leaving a 3 cm margin.
- 7
Step 7

Spread the filling and distribute it in an even layer.
- 8
Step 8

Fold the edges over, lightly covering the filling. Place the pie in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30 minutes (± 5–7 minutes). During this time, the dough should turn golden and the filling should bake through.

Step 9

The Ekmek pie is ready. Enjoy!
