Cream puffs dough recipe
Description
Perfect for tea and coffee. With minimal and easily accessible ingredients, you'll prepare an amazing treat for tea time. These eclairs (the dough recipe is super simple!) can be made with any filling. In this recipe, it's a custard cream from instant pudding packets, which is prepared very quickly. A piping bag is essential for making the eclairs. The baking is ready. Serve and enjoy.

Step 1

1. Pour water into a saucepan, then add margarine or butter, a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

Step 2

2. Add flour to the boiling water and quickly knead the dough. You will get choux pastry dough. Then place it back on the heat and stir, rubbing until smooth. Cool the dough, add eggs, and knead into a smooth, homogeneous dough.

Step 3

3. Now fill a pastry bag with the dough and pipe it onto a baking sheet in any shape. The classic éclair shape is long pastries, but nowadays they experiment and make them round as well.

Step 4

4. I used ready-made custard cream (you just need to add water according to the instructions), but you can fill the eclairs with your favorite cream.

Step 5

5. During baking, eclairs double in size. Bake them at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes. After baking, let them cool slightly by leaving the oven door open.

Step 6

6. Fill with cream using a piping bag and dust with powdered sugar. Refrigerate if you've made buttercream.
