Prepare the necessary ingredients. Pass the pork through a meat grinder. Rinse the rice, peel the onion and carrots.

Boil the rice until half-cooked. For half a cup of rice, use the same amount of water, cook for 7–10 minutes with the lid closed, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Add the cooked rice to the ground pork, season with salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly.

Grate the carrot on a coarse grater. Cut the onion into small cubes. Place a frying pan with sunflower oil over medium heat. First add the onion and sauté slightly. Then add the carrot and cook for another 3–5 minutes. At the end, add tomato juice and simmer for a couple more minutes.

Make meatballs from the pork mince with rice and place them in the baking dish you will use for baking.

Pour the sauce over the prepared "hedgehogs," cover with a lid or foil, and place in the oven. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180°C.
