Description

Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. Prepare a yeast dough and let it rise. Then divide the dough into two equal parts and roll each into a flat sheet. Place one sheet onto a greased baking tray, and put the second sheet on top only after arranging the filling over the bottom layer. Seal the edges of the two layers, brush the surface of the pie with egg yolk, and bake in the middle of the oven at medium heat. To prepare the filling, heat apple jam and mix in finely chopped figs or dates. Let the mixture cool, then spread it over the bottom dough layer. Serve the pie either warm or chilled.
