
Holey pie with chocolate glaze
Description
This pastry is prepared simply and quickly. Why is the pie called holey? It’s very simple! After baking, holes are made on the surface of the pie, into which the chocolate topping will later seep. The pastry turns out very tender and delicious! It is suitable both for family tea time and for welcoming unexpected guests.

Prepare all the ingredients.

In a deep bowl, beat the eggs with sugar. Add boiling water and beat again.

Add flour and baking powder.

Whisk everything once again until smooth.

Pour the batter into a greased baking dish. You can first sprinkle the bottom and sides with semolina or flour. Place the dish in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about 30–40 minutes.

Cool the finished sponge cake on a wire rack.

Meanwhile, combine the ingredients for the topping: butter, sugar, cocoa, and sour cream. Place the container over low heat and, stirring, bring the mixture until smooth.

Make indentations in the finished sponge cake using any object you have on hand. I used a honey spoon. I got small holes; if you want larger holes, you can go over it with the handle of a wooden or silicone spatula.

Pour chocolate sauce over the surface of the sponge cake, and refrigerate the dessert for a couple of hours.
