
Dungan Pepper in Batter
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. An unusual appetizer with moderate heat is a great choice for a holiday or lunch spread. Spice lovers will especially enjoy this dish. You can use ground meat of any grind. Serve warm or chilled.

1. Prepare the main ingredients. I used ready-made ground meat. Pork-beef blend or lamb ground meat pairs best with hot pepper.

2. Cut each pepper in half lengthwise, clean it, and rinse thoroughly.

3. Mix the minced meat and add ground pepper and spices to taste.

4. Stuff each pepper half with the filling. Meanwhile, place a frying pan over the heat, pour in some oil, and let it heat up.

5. Beat the eggs with flour to make the batter; it should not be thick. Dip the peppers in the batter, then place them in the pan.

6. Fry the Dungan pepper in batter in vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.
