Yeasted vatrushki
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Yeast vatrushkas are very delicious! Extremely, extremely, extremely tasty! :) Overall, preparing vatrushkas takes several hours. The dough needs to rise for about 2 hours, the buns bake for 30 minutes, and then cool for another 30 minutes. In short, making yeast buns requires a serious approach, as it's a creative and fascinating process that demands both time and attention. I wish you happy cooking, and those who have tried it—please comment on my yeast vatrushka recipe. Good luck!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Add dry yeast to a small bowl, crumble it with your hands, pour warm milk over it, and add a tablespoon of sugar. Mix gently. Over the next 10 minutes, the yeast and sugar should completely dissolve in the milk.
- 2
Step 2

Add eggs, sugar, salt, and sour cream to the milk and whisk together.
- 3
Step 3

Then gradually add the flour. Knead using a mixer or food processor.
- 4
Step 4

Add the butter. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes. It's important for the dough to become elastic. Then leave it in a warm place, covered with a towel, for an hour. The dough should double in size.
- 5
Step 5

Then divide the solid piece of dough into 30 equal portions (small balls) and place them apart. Cover with a towel and let rest for another 30 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Then we slightly roll out each piece and shape it into a flatbread.
- 7
Step 7

Using a glass, make a depression in the center of each patty.
- 8
Step 8

Prepare the filling. To do this, beat the cottage cheese with sugar and egg. Add raisins soaked in boiling water (for a minute) if desired.
- 9
Step 9

Place the flatbreads onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Fill the dough with the filling and preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the buns for 30 minutes until golden brown.

Step 10

Place the ready yeast buns on a plate, let them cool, and serve.
