
Yeast pie with egg in the oven

Today I suggest making a yeast pie with egg in the oven. The pie turns out tender and airy; your whole family is sure to love it. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Prepare all ingredients according to the list.

Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 10 minutes, then add salt and oil.

Gradually add the flour.

Knead a soft and slightly sticky dough. Grease your hands with vegetable oil, gather the dough into a ball, cover the bowl with a towel, and place it in a warm spot to rise for 1–1.5 hours.

Cover the eggs with water and boil until done.

Cool the hard-boiled eggs, then peel and dice them. Add finely chopped green onion, salt, and ground pepper to taste.

Mix well.

Once the dough has risen, knead it well and divide it into two unequal parts.

One small portion — for decoration. The second portion, the larger one, should be rolled out to a thickness of about 1/2 cm.

Place the dough in a buttered pan and shape high sides with your hands. Spread the filling on top.

Roll out the remaining piece of dough thinly into a rectangle, cut it into strips, and use them to decorate the pie. Slightly fold the edges of the pie toward the center.

Brush the dough with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for about 25–30 minutes.
